It wasn’t the home that first caught the eye of these formerly urbanite clients; it was the land, set on five acres in the vine-covered Dundee Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
The home itself - a seventies-build that had accrued several expansions over the years - was serviceable, if dated. But more than that, it was at odds with the design style my clients wanted to project at their country estate.

Equestrian motifs throughout the home nod to the clients’ unique passion, while serving as an entry point for tapping into pastoral design traditions.
Reflecting their love of Nordic style, a sparing palette of earthy-tones allows texture to play the lead, in particular a double-height wall clad in weathered timber.
Featuring a custom-made ash wood trestle table and accompanying benches, the home boasts ample space for gathering to share a meal or play a board game.
In the living room, weathered wood lends a grounding tonality.
Custom armchairs provide a soft landing in his and hers offices.
A deep teal Arabesque backsplash takes the kitchen in a decidedly traditional direction.
Special consideration was given to texture and finish in our selections, from lighting to furnishings.
